WorkList Handler for the WorkTrak Workflow Management System

WorkTrak is a Workflow Management System that is developed as a research product in the Division of Computing Studies Arizona State University East. WorkTrak system is a distributed Java application with a Remote Method Invocation (RMI) Server that stores the state. The WorkTrak WorkList Handler project is a web application that is based on the server side programming paradigm. This application replaces WorkTrak’s existing Java Swing client sub-module that allows users to view their assigned activities due to enactment of various workflows. The WorkList Handler also provides the “TO DO List” feature that enables users to add activities that are not part of any workflow definition to organize and manage their personal work. The WorkList Handler is implemented as an ASP.NET web application that interacts with a Java Web Service encapsulating the WorkTrak RMI Server functionality and also with a “TO DO List” .NET Web Service providing the TODO List feature. The WorkList Handler application will subsequently be integrated at a later stage into the WorkTrak system along with other client sub-modules .
